Syvret received an eight week jail term last week
A former Jersey politician has lost his appeal against his prison sentence.
Stuart Syvret argued his case in the Royal Court this morning, but the judge dismissed it, and sent him back to jail.
He is currently serving an eight-week term for failing to complete his community service order.
He had claimed he was unfit for work, but at the same time put himself forward for the October election.
Syvret says he will continue to fight his sentence.
