Senatorial candidate in court over alleged breach

FORMER Senator Stuart Syvret could be jailed today after being accused of breaching a community service order.
The ex-Health Minister, who is standing for election as a Senator, was sentenced to 80 hours’ community service in August for contempt of court charges.

But after failing to complete some or all of the work he has been summoned back to the Magistrate’s Court where he could be resentenced for his crimes and even ordered straight into custody.
