Stuart Syvret has been arrested after walking out of Jersey's Magistrates Court during a hearing for claims he broke his community service sentence.
Syvret allegedly broke his 80-hour community service, which was ordered for a contempt of court conviction.He stood up and claimed the protection of common law and asked if there was any claim against him, before excusing himself and walking out of court.
Magistrate Bridget Shaw then ordered his arrest.
Syvret is now in the dock and asking to have his 'McKenzie Friend' present for legal advice - which is someone who does not need to be legally qualified who can assist you in court.
The court is currently deliberating that.
